Obama has a fanclub even here in Kabul, perhaps particularly here in Kabul. We are the folks who will be affected greatly by political outcomes of the next election. We also see the daily impact of the policies over the past 7 years that have led Afghanistan to the state of chaos that exists today.
A group of us met up on Friday to listen to Barack's speech and share why we are excited about the campaign. We've just started the first ever Democrats Abroad chapter in Afghanistan. This means that we even have our own delegates that were representing us at the recent convention. It feels good that we still have an impact, even if we aren't in the states. In fact sometimes I feel like I have more of an impact from Kabul than Washington.
Best,
Miel
